An independent investment group

The Comgest group is composed of four separate legal entities: Comgest S.A., Comgest Far East Limited, Comgest Asset Management International Limited and Nippon Comgest Inc.

Based in Paris, Comgest S.A. was created in 1986 as a portfolio management company and is registered with the French stock exchange authorities (Commission des Opérations de Bourse). In 1993, Comgest Far East Limited was established in Hong Kong as a research and portfolio management team, enabling an easy access to all regional economies. Comgest Far East Limited is recognised as an asset management and securities advisory company by the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission. Finally, Comgest Asset Management International Limited was created in Dublin with the aim of developing a range of offshore funds. It was authorised by the Irish Financial Services Regulatory Authority as an investment management company in 2005. Nippon Comgest Inc. was set up in Tokyo, Japan in 2007 to operate as a portfolio management company.

The employees hold all of the shares in Comgest, the senior partners owning the majority. The group is therefore completely independent, working objectively and autonomously under all circumstances. In addition, we avoid any conflict of interest by concentrating on a sole activity, asset management.

With such freedom of choice, we focus on what we know best: long-term investment in rigorously selected quality growth stocks on the markets of Europe, South-East Asia, Japan and Emerging Markets. As a result of this strategy, we offer our clients a recognised expertise through a range of offshore and France-based funds, for which we have enlisted the co-operation of renowned and professional custodians.

The knowledge we have acquired and our concerns for the durability of entrusted assets have led us to develop a particularly long-lasting and privileged contact with our clients. Professional ethics are at the forefront of our work and our internal regulations define specific measures relative to the handling of procedures and personal operations of the fund managers.
