Abla Bellakhdar joined Comgest in 2014 and is an Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Global Emerging Markets equities, notably the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) as well as Latin America.

Abla co-leads the GEM ex-China strategy and contributes widely to the investment team’s research coverage for a diverse selection of quality growth stocks. Prior to joining the firm, she undertook internships at Comgest, a financial institution in Morocco (CDG) and Euro Latina Finance in Paris, a specialist in Latin America cross-border mergers and acquisitions.

Abla holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Finance from the NEOMA Business School in France and a Bachelor’s degree from the Monterrey Institute of Technology in Mexico.

Jimmy Chen joined Comgest in 2017 and is a Hong Kong-based Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Greater China equities.

Prior to joining the firm, Jimmy worked for Sanford C. Bernstein as a Senior Research Associate specialised in Asia-Pacific regional telecoms. He previously spent five years as a consultant with Bain & Company working with clients across various industries (ranging from consumer to industrial) and was based in Australia (2 years) and China (3 years).

Jimmy is fluent in Mandarin, obtained a Bachelors of Commerce & Law (with Honours) from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia and is a CFA^® charterholder.

Adam Hakkou joined Comgest in 2012 and is a Singapore-based Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Asia Pacific ex Japan equities.

Adam co-leads the Asia ex Japan, Asia Pac ex Japan strategies. He contributes widely to the Asian team’s research coverage, identifying quality growth investment opportunities across diverse sectors and geographies.

Adam graduated from the NEOMA Business School in France with a Master’s degree in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management and obtained an Advanced Master’s in Finance and Asset Management from the ESSEC Business School in Paris where he was an active member of the school’s investment fund. Adam is a CFA^® charterholder.

Viva Jiang joined Comgest in 2022 and is an ESG Analyst responsible for ESG coverage of Asian and Global Emerging Markets.

He meets and engages with company management alongside the firm’s investment Analysts and prepares in-depth ESG reports. Prior to Comgest, Viva joined Robocap in 2020 as an Investment Analyst, responsible for covering global advanced industrial and technology sectors. He was also in charge of ESG integration and a member of the company’s ESG committee. He previously worked for Changfu Asset Management in Shanghai as an Investment Analyst covering technology, consumer and public service sectors in China.

Viva holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Master’s degree in Finance from London Business School (UK). He is a CFA^® charterholder and holds a Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute. 

Jasmine Kang joined Comgest in 2014 and is a Hong Kong-based Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Greater China equities as well as a non-executive member of the Board of Partners and a Managing Director of Comgest Far East Limited.

Jasmine co-manages Comgest’s China strategy. Before joining Comgest, she worked at China Everbright Asset Management as Investment Director responsible for China onshore and offshore equity research and investment. Jasmine began her career in 2005 at BNP Paribas Investment Partners where she focused on Asian equities as a research analyst and portfolio manager.

A native Mandarin speaker, Jasmine has a Master’s degree in International Economics from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and completed Harvard Business School’s Senior Executive Leadership Program. She is a CFA^® charterholder.

Swati Madhabushi joined Comgest in 2019 and is a Singapore-based Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Indian equities.

Prior to joining Comgest, she worked with East Capital in Hong Kong for five years focusing on India, ASEAN and frontier Asia markets. She previously worked on the sell-side with UBS covering Indian financials.

Swati holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the India Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and a post-graduate diploma from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. She is also a CFA^® charterholder and fluent in Hindi.

Pierre Maindron joined Comgest in 2014 and is an Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Global Emerging Markets equities, notably Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EEMEA).

Pierre initially joined Comgest as part of the group’s Organisation and Project department before moving to his current role in 2018. He started his career as an auditor with clients across diverse industries ranging from retail to insurance companies before becoming a consultant specialised in financial services, working for both Société Générale and Crédit Agricole.

Pierre is a CFA^® charterholder and graduated from Arts et Métiers ParisTech in France with a Master’s degree in Engineering.

Nick Payne joined Comgest in 2025 and is an Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Global Emerging Market equities.

Prior to joining Comgest, Nick was Head of Global Emerging Market equities at Jupiter Asset Management in London for seven years. He previously worked at Nomura Asset Management and was a Partner at Rexiter Capital Management, a specialist emerging markets boutique, from 1999 to 2012. His career in emerging markets began at Kleinwort Benson Investment Management in 1996.

Nick holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Commerce and German from the University of Birmingham (UK) and is an Associate of the Society of Investment Professionals (ASIP), the UK’s forerunner to the CFA, now affiliated with CFA UK, the local chapter of the CFA Institute.

Bhuvnesh Singh joined Comgest in 2016 and is a Singapore-based Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Asian equities, including Indian equities.

Bhuvnesh co-leads the Asia ex Japan, Asia Pac ex Japan and India strategies. He visits company premises, compiles in-depth research reports and contributes to Comgest’s India, Asia, Emerging Markets and Global strategies. In 1999, Bhuvnesh started his career working at Credit Suisse where he was an Asia equity Analyst. He went on to join Barclays in 2011 as Head of India Research, co-managing the Indian equity business.

Bhuvnesh holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur and a Master’s degree in Management from the Indian Institute of Management in Calcutta.

Slabbert van Zyl joined Comgest in 2014 and is an Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Global Emerging Markets equities.

He co-leads the GEM, GEM ex-China and GEM Plus strategies. Slabbert contributes to the investment team's research coverage by selecting diverse quality growth GEM companies. Prior to joining Comgest, Slabbert qualified as a chartered accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers and gained six years’ experience as a South African Investment Analyst in Cape Town.

Slabbert graduated from the University of Pretoria with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting before gaining a post-graduate qualification in the same field from the University of Johannesburg. He is a CFA^® charterholder.
