A Sub-Fund of Comgest Growth plc.
The objective of the Sub-Fund ("the Fund") is to increase the value of the Fund (capital appreciation) over the long term. The Fund intends to achieve this objective through investment in a portfolio of high-quality, long-term growth companies. The Fund will invest at least two-thirds of its assets in securities issued by companies listed or traded on regulated markets that have their headquarters in, or principally carry out their activities in Japan or in securities issued or guaranteed by the Japanese government.
The Fund is actively managed. The index is provided for comparative purposes only.
The Fund is aimed at investors with a long-term investment horizon (typically 5 years or more).

Chantana Ward trad in 1999 in dienst bij Comgest Parijs, ze is portefeuillebeheerder en analist binnen het team Japanse aandelen. Zij is tevens niet-uitvoerend lid van de Board of Partners.

Ze reist regelmatig naar Japan voor bedrijven research en om tijd daar samen te werken met het team in Tokio. Chantana is co-manager van fondsen binnen de Azië inclusief Japan en de Japanse aandelen strategie. Zij heeft een belangrijke bijdrage geleverd aan de ontwikkeling van deze beleggingsstrategieën.

Chantana heeft een Master of Science in Finance behaald aan de Baruch College’s Zicklin School of Business in New York, een duo-diploma met de Amerikaanse Universiteit van Parijs.

Richard Kaye trad in 2009 in dienst bij Comgest als portefeuillebeheerder en analist, gespecialiseerd in Japanse aandelen. Richard werkt vanuit ons kantoor in Tokio en is tevens lid van het Investment Comité binnen Comgest.

Bij zijn indiensttreding, werd hij co-manager van de Japanse aandelen strategie. Hij begon zijn carrière in 1994 als analist bij de Industrial Bank of Japan, Richard trad in 1996 in dienst bij Merrill Lynch in diezelfde rol. In 2005 verhuisde hij naar de Wellington Management Company in Boston als portfoliobeheerder van de Japanse TMT aandelen.

Richard studeerde af aan de Universiteit van Oxford, in Oriëntaalse Studies.

Makoto Egami trad in 2013 in dienst op het kantoor van Comgest in Tokio.

Hij is analist en portefeuillebeheerder binnen het Japanse aandelenteam en doet research naar quality growth bedrijven voor de strategie. Hij begon zijn carrière in 2001 bij JP Morgan Chase in Tokio als kredietanalist en ging vervolgens werken bij het in de Verenigde Staten gevestigde Taiyo Pacific Partners als investeringsdeskundige. Daarna ging hij werken bij Macquarie als analist Japanse small- en midcap aandelen. Makoto heeft tevens gewerkt bij Google Japan in de functie van senior industrie analist.

Hij studeerde af aan de Keio University met een BA in Economie en behaalde zijn MBA aan de Kellogg School of Management (VS). Hij behaalde ook het CMA van de Securities Analyst Association of Japan.
