The Comgest Group’s Supervisory Board sits at the level of the holding company, Comgest Global Investors, and provides oversight, primarily addressing strategic business issues. The Management Committee of Comgest Global Investors represents key operations in the Comgest Group and oversees the implementation of the Group's goals.
Arnaud Cosserat joined the firm in 1996 and is today Chief Executive Officer of the Comgest Group.
Arnaud is a long-standing Portfolio Manager within the European equity team and holds the role of Chief Investment Officer, responsible for overseeing the firm’s investment team and ensuring the best practices are in place to entrench the firm’s philosophy to successful long-term investing.
Arnaud started his career in 1989 as an Analyst at Banque Paribas, before joining Société de Bourse Oddo and then Generali as a Portfolio Manager. He holds a Master of Science degree from the ESSEC business school in Paris, and is a member of the French Society of Financial Analysts (SFAF).
Laurent Dobler joined Comgest in 1991 and is an Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in European equities as well as a Deputy Managing Director of Comgest S.A.
As Comgest's longest serving Portfolio Manager, Laurent is a lead Portfolio Manager withing the European equity team and has been instrumental in forging and refining Comgest's quality growth investment philosophy. He started his career in Geneva in 1986 with Banque Paribas as an Analyst and Portfolio Manager of a German equity fund before he joined the Geneva fund management team of Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild where he specialised in European and Japanese equities.
With a degree in Economics from the Sorbonne University and a Master’s degree in Law from University Paris II, Laurent also studied at Sciences Po (Institut d’Etudes Politiques) in Paris, where he majored in Finance and Fiscal Policy.
Jan-Peter Dolff joined Comgest in 1997 and is today a Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer of Comgest Global Investors.
Jan-Peter is responsible for overseeing the company’s non-investment functions including investor relations, finance, compliance, legal, risk management, marketing, human resources, operations and information technology.
Philippe Lebeau joined Comgest in 2009 as Global Head of Marketing & Investor Relations and was named Deputy Managing Director of Comgest S.A. in 2015.
He began his career at the chartered surveyor Insignia Bourdais (now CBRE), providing real estate advisory services to French institutional investors, before moving to Banque du Louvre where he held various asset management advisory and marketing roles. He was later appointed Managing Director of LGI, the Luxembourg subsidiary of HSBC Private Bank France, where he was Head of Business Development and Multi-management activities. Philippe held the position of CEO of Louvre Gestion (now HSBC Private Wealth Managers) before joining Comgest.
He graduated from HEC School of Management and Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris.
Janice Olyarchuk joined Comgest in 2007 and is today Global Head of Compliance, Legal and Risk, responsible for overseeing these functions across the Comgest Group.
Janice has over 15 years’ experience in the finance industry and is a member of Comgest Global Investors’ Executive and Management Committees.
David Raper joined Comgest in 2002 and is a Hong Kong-based Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Asia Pacific ex Japan equities as well as a Managing Director of Comgest Far East Limited.
He is a lead Portfolio Manager of Comgest’s Asia Pacific ex Japan strategy. Prior to joining Comgest, David worked in Hong Kong for ING Barings covering Asian equities between 1999 and 2001.
David is a CFA® charterholder and graduated from the University of Canterbury (New Zealand) with a Bachelor's degree in Economics and a second major in Marketing.
Wojciech Stanislawski joined Comgest in 1999 as a member of Comgest’s Global Emerging Markets team and is a member of the Group’s Investment Executive and Management Committees.
In 2000 he was named as co-lead Portfolio Manager of Comgest’s flagship Global Emerging Markets fund and also co-leads a number of other strategies. He maintains responsibility for a number of Global Emerging Markets segregated mandates.
Wojciech graduated from the Panthéon-Assas University in Paris with a joint Master’s degree in Business and Financial Management.
Franz Weis joined Comgest in 2005 and is an Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in European equities as well as a Managing Director of Comgest Global Investors SAS.
Franz co-leads the management of the majority of Comgest’s European equity public funds and maintains responsibility for a number of European segregated mandates. He started his career in 1990 at Baillie Gifford & Co. where he worked as a Portfolio Manager before joining F&C Asset Management as a Senior Portfolio Manager and Director of European Equities in 1999.
He graduated from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh with a Master’s degree in International Banking and Financial Studies and received the International Bankers in Scotland Prize in 1990.
Jean-François Canton is one the two co-founders of Comgest. He retired from Comgest in 2010, but continues to contribute to the Group as member of the Supervisory Board.
With a strong background in Asia, Mr. Canton launched Comgest’s first public Asian equity fund in 1989, before launching and managing the Global Equity strategy in 1991. Prior to Comgest, Mr. Canton started his career managing foreign equity investments at the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations in Paris and then joined Banque Indosuez as a senior fund manager, investing in the Pacific Basin markets.
François Delalande has 30 years of experience in asset management and the world of collective investment schemes. Mr. Delalande founded and has been working at SterWen BAM SA since 2009.
Mr. Delalande began his career in 1984 at Banque Paribas where he was in charge of European equities. In 1990, he moved to Notz Stucki & Cie where he initially held the role of portfolio manager before being appointed as Managing Partner in 2000, co-responsible for fund management and institutional business development.
Didier Ribadeau Dumas started his career in 1971 in the Ministry of Economics and Finance in Paris and went on to join the French banking group CIC as Managing Director.
From 1989 to 2006, Mr. Ribadeau Dumas was Senior Vice President of the Paris office of the Boston Consulting Group responsible for advisory services to the financial industry. From 2006 to 2012, he worked as a partner at Courcelles Conseil, providing strategy advice to corporations.
Wedig von Gaudecker founded Comgest alongside Jean-François Canton and launched the Pan-European Equity strategy in 1989. Since retiring from the company in 2003, Mr. von Gaudecker has remained a member of the Supervisory Board and acts now as the Board’s Censor.
Mr. von Gaudecker first worked for Banque Indosuez, then Banque Paribas and Paribas Asset Management, where he was Vice-President responsible for investments in the European stock markets. He started his career as a Fund Manager for the private bankers, Delbrück & Co. and Sal. Oppenheim Jr. & Cie in Cologne, Germany.
Jean-Pierre Hellebuyck joined the AXA Group in 1977 where he held several roles including portfolio manager, Chief Investment Officer and currently, non-executive Vice-Chairman and Board Director of AXA Investment Managers.
Mr. Hellebuyck is member of several organisations, including the Collège de l’Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF).
Vincent Strauss joined Comgest in 1994 and launched Comgest’s Global Emerging Markets strategy the same year.
Prior to joining the Supervisory Board, Mr. Strauss was Chief Executive Officer of Comgest Global Investors from 2010 until 2016. He was one of the lead portfolio managers of Comgest’s Global Emerging Markets and Global Equity strategies. He started his career at Crédit Commercial de France and joined Banque Indosuez (Paris) in 1982. Prior to these roles, he was a Director at Batif and then Multifinance International.
