OUR INVESTMENT TEAM

Eva Fornadi joined Comgest in 2005 and is a Paris-based Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in European equities. She is also a non-executive member of the Board of Partners.

Eva joined Comgest at the start of her career and has built her experience across European equities, spanning market capitalisations. She has been a key contributor to the development and diversification of the Group’s European strategies.

Eva holds a Bachelor’s degree (Honours) in Business Studies from Oxford Brookes University (UK) and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies from the International Business School in Budapest (Hungary).

Adam Hakkou joined Comgest in 2012 and is a Singapore-based Analyst and Portfolio Advisor specialising in Asia Pacific ex Japan equities.

Adam joined Comgest early in his career and has built his experience across Asian equities. He has been a key contributor to the development of the Group’s Asia Pacific ex Japan strategies.

Adam holds a Master’s degree in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from NEOMA Business School (France) and an Advanced Master’s in Finance and Asset Management from ESSEC Business School in Paris (France), where he was active in the school’s investment fund. He is a CFA^® charterholder.

James Hanford joined Comgest in 2018 and is a Paris-based Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in European equities.

Prior to joining Comgest, James spent four years at Capital Group in London as a global generalist and began his career in 2011 as an Analyst at Credit Suisse.

James holds a a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Cambridge (UK) and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Durham (UK), graduating top of his class. He is a CFA^® charterholder.

Kasumi Haruta joined Comgest in 2025 and is a Tokyo-based Analyst specialising in Japanese equities.

Prior to joining Comgest, Kasumi worked as a Research Analyst at UBS and Credit Suisse, covering the Japanese pharmaceuticals and healthcare sectors. Before Credit Suisse, she was part of the corporate strategy team at a listed IT company and served as an Equity Research Associate at Deutsche Bank Securities, covering the machinery/truck sector. She began her career as a Fixed Income Sales Associate at Morgan Stanley in Japan.

Kasumi holds Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Engineering from Waseda University (Japan).

Kira Huppertz joined Comgest in 2021 and is a Paris-based Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Global equities.

Prior to joining Comgest, Kira spent five years in London as an Equity Research Analyst with Goldman Sachs specialising in European medical technology. She previously completed internships at Commerzbank (Paris/London) and PwC Luxembourg.

Kira holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Finance and Banking from EDHEC Business School (France) and is a CFA® charterholder.

Junzaburo Hyuga joined Comgest in 2018 and is a Tokyo-based Analyst and specialising in Japanese equities.

Prior to joining Comgest, Junzaburo was a strategy consultant at Strategy& (formerly Booz & Co.), covering various industries in Japan. He previously worked at J.P. Morgan in Tokyo in transaction banking and began his career in 2010 at Rakuten Securities.

Junzaburo holds an MBA from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University (US) and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Keio University (Japan).

Viva Jiang joined Comgest in 2022 and is a Paris-based ESG Analyst responsible for ESG coverage of Asian and Global Emerging Markets equities.

Prior to joining Comgest, Viva was an Investment Analyst at Robocap in London from 2020, covering global advanced industrial and technology sectors. He was also responsible for ESG integration and a member of the firm’s ESG committee. He previously worked at Changfu Asset Management in Shanghai as an Investment Analyst covering technology, consumer and public service sectors in China.

Viva a Master’s degree in Finance from London Business School (UK) and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is a CFA^® charterholder and holds a Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute. 

Jasmine Kang joined Comgest in 2014 and is a Paris-based Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Greater China equities. She is also a non-executive member of the Board of Partners.

Originally based in Hong Kong, she relocated to Paris in 2025. Prior to joining Comgest, she worked at China Everbright Asset Management as Investment Director, responsible for China onshore and offshore equity research and investment. Jasmine began her career in 2005 at BNP Paribas Investment Partners where she focused on Asian equities as a Research Analyst and Portfolio Manager.

Jasmine holds a Master’s degree in International Economics from Shanghai University of Finance (China) and Economics and completed Harvard Business School’s Senior Executive Leadership Program. She is a CFA^® charterholder.

Richard Kaye joined Comgest in 2009 and is a Paris-based Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Japanese equities. He is also a member of the Comgest Group's Investment Committee.

Richard brings deep, long-standing expertise in Japan, having lived in Tokyo for over 30 years before relocating to Paris in 2025. Prior to joining Comgest, Richard worked at Wellington Management Company in Boston from 2005 as a Portfolio Manager specialising in Japanese TMT stocks. Before that, he worked in Japan as an Analyst at Merrill Lynch from 1996. He began in 1994 as an Analyst with the Industrial Bank of Japan.

Richard holds a Bachelor’s degree in Oriental Studies from Oxford University (UK).

Hannah Kleiven joined Comgest in 2024 and is a Paris-based Analyst specialising in Global equities.

Prior to joining Comgest, Hannah worked for two years as a Research Analyst at Capital Group in London, covering European telecoms, retailers and industrials. Before that, she spent five years as a sell-side Equity Research Analyst at Arete Research, covering European and US telecoms and media.

Hannah holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from Sussex University (UK).
