Anne-Laure Giraud joined Comgest in 2019 as an Analyst specialising in Global Emerging Markets equities.
Anne-Laure contributes to idea generation, researching quality-growth companies in EMEA and Latin America. Prior to joining the firm, Anne-Laure completed internships at Amundi Asset Management and Comgest.
She holds a Master’s degree from the IESEG School of Management in Paris, France, which included study abroad at Universidad Argentina de la Empresa in Buenos Aires, Argentina and the Copenhagen Business School in Denmark.
Adam Hakkou joined Comgest in 2012 and is a Singapore-based Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Asia Pacific ex Japan equities.
Adam co-leads the Asia ex Japan, Asia Pac ex Japan strategies. He contributes widely to the Asian team’s research coverage, identifying quality growth investment opportunities across diverse sectors and geographies.
Adam graduated from the NEOMA Business School in France with a Master’s degree in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management and obtained an Advanced Master’s in Finance and Asset Management from the ESSEC Business School in Paris where he was an active member of the school’s investment fund. Adam is a CFA® charterholder.
James Hanford joined Comgest in 2018 and is an Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in European equities.
James contributes widely to the investment team’s research coverage for a diverse selection of pan-European quality growth stocks. He started his career in 2011 as an Analyst at Credit Suisse and prior to joining Comgest spent four years as a global generalist at Capital Group.
He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Durham where he graduated top of his class and holds a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Cambridge. He is also a CFA® charterholder.
Kasumi Haruta joined Comgest in 2025 and is a Tokyo-based Analyst specialising in Japanese equities.
Prior to joining Comgest, Kasumi worked as a Research Analyst at UBS and Credit Suisse, where she covered the Japanese Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare sectors. Before joining Credit Suisse, she was part of the corporate strategy team at a listed IT company and served as an Equity Research Associate covering the Machinery/Truck sector at Deutsche Bank Securities. She started her career as a Fixed Income Sales Associate at Morgan Stanley.
Kasumi holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Engineering from Waseda University (Japan).
Mehdi Huet joined Comgest in 2023 and is an Analyst specialising in European equities.
Mehdi contributes widely to the investment team’s research coverage for a diverse selection of pan-European quality growth stocks. Prior to joining Comgest, he worked as a Listed Equity Analyst at Tikehau Capital in Paris covering mostly American and European stocks, including those from the technology, consumer staples and industrial sectors.
Mehdi holds a Master’s degree in business from HEC Paris (France), which included study abroad in Shanghai and Stockholm.
Kira Huppertz joined Comgest in 2021 and is an Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Global equities.
Prior to joining Comgest, Kira spent five years in London as an Equity Research Analyst with Goldman Sachs specialising in European Medical Technology. Before that, she completed internships at Commerzbank (Paris/London) and PwC Luxembourg.
Kira graduated from EDHEC Business School (France) with a Master’s degree in Corporate Finance and Banking. She is also a CFA® charterholder.
Junzaburo Hyuga joined Comgest in 2018 and is a Tokyo-based Analyst and specialising in Japanese equities.
Junzaburo contributes to idea generation and researching Japanese companies within diverse sectors. He started his career in 2010 at Rakuten Securities before moving to JP Morgan Chase in Tokyo where he worked within the transaction banking division. Before joining Comgest Junzaburo was a strategy consultant at Strategy& (formerly Booz & Co.), covering various industries in Japan.
Junzaburo graduated from Keio University with a BA in Political Science and holds an MBA from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.
Viva Jiang joined Comgest in 2022 and is an ESG Analyst responsible for ESG coverage of Asian and Global Emerging Markets.
He meets and engages with company management alongside the firm’s investment Analysts and prepares in-depth ESG reports. Prior to Comgest, Viva joined Robocap in 2020 as an Investment Analyst, responsible for covering global advanced industrial and technology sectors. He was also in charge of ESG integration and a member of the company’s ESG committee. He previously worked for Changfu Asset Management in Shanghai as an Investment Analyst covering technology, consumer and public service sectors in China.
Viva holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Master’s degree in Finance from London Business School (UK). He is a CFA® charterholder and holds a Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Institute.
Jasmine Kang joined Comgest in 2014 and is a Hong Kong-based Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Greater China equities as well as a non-executive member of the Board of Partners and a Managing Director of Comgest Far East Limited.
Jasmine co-manages Comgest’s China strategy. Before joining Comgest, she worked at China Everbright Asset Management as Investment Director responsible for China onshore and offshore equity research and investment. Jasmine began her career in 2005 at BNP Paribas Investment Partners where she focused on Asian equities as a research analyst and portfolio manager.
A native Mandarin speaker, Jasmine has a Master’s degree in International Economics from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics and completed Harvard Business School’s Senior Executive Leadership Program. She is a CFA® charterholder.
Richard Kaye joined Comgest in 2009 and is an Analyst and Portfolio Manager specialising in Japanese equities. He is also a member of the Comgest Group's Investment Committee.
With a wealth of experience in Japanese equities, Richard became co-lead of Comgest’s Japan equity strategy upon joining the Group. He started his career in 1994 as an Analyst with the Industrial Bank of Japan and then joined Merrill Lynch in the same role in 1996. In 2005 he moved to the Wellington Management Company in Boston as a Portfolio Manager of Japanese TMT stocks.
Richard graduated from Oxford University (UK) where he majored in Oriental Studies.
